Yajnadatta was a very beautiful young man
every day which was looking at himself
with satisfaction to the mirror.

A morning however he did not perceive
its image any more.

He thought he had lost the head,
and looked for her everywhere.

But he did not find her until the same head
which was performing the research understood
that the head of which was really going to the research

I close the eyes

"As you make to see the things therefore clearly"

were asked to Master Zen.

And it answered:

"I close the eyes"

You close the eyes to desires,

the past and the future...

You make the empty one of the old infuences

You are already free !

A day to Master Seng-ts' an a young person introduced itself that declared:

"Come from because I search the lighting "

" Who has enchained ? "

" Nobody "

" Then, you are already free one "

What which enchains us is our conscience

not to be free

If you want are free !

A dream ... in a dream

Our mind activity is always characterized by thoughts which arise here and there ...

As soon as we have a satisfactory feeling,

want to repeat it and then we try a big disappointment to have it never any more in the same way to every illusion necessarily follows a disappointment it and necessary a deep contemplation to understand this during Zazen sees himself the illusion reality
it is necessary to observe deeply.

The teacher Kodo Sawaki has written a poetry:

The pine shadow

depends

on the moon

clearness..

We can simply clean our mirror,

we can simply clean the dirty one

if we are able to see it!

the important one the clean one is not the dirty one,

but only the repeated action to clean and continuously clean

without appropriating is of nothing,

without opposing us to nothing and this it is possible to everybody,

in every circumstance

From the null beginning it exists!

In the Zen there is one phrase famous:

"Honrai mu ichi motsu! "

that it means

"From the null beginning it exists! "

From the beginning it does not mean only

"from the beginning of the times",

or

"from the beginning of our life."

but it means also

"when it begins a thought"

"where it takes to origin a thought..."

The answer to this Koan you must find in your self

you it is made the question:

"Which is the origin of the thought?"
